Valli Hi Motel San Ysidro

I booked this motel the last minute and was quite anxious about it but it was actually good, rooms were clean staff was very helpful. Overall a nice place to stay

It was extremely clean here. The check-in and out was quick and efficient. There were no bugs of any sort. It's super close to Mexico and easy access to highways. I thought the workers were friendly enough, though I don't really look to be chummy with the workers as I'm on vacation trying to be chummy with my family.

Needed a motel after crossing the border. Very friendly service, very clean rooms, well stocked with linens, has a refrigerator and a microwave! One of the best prices in the area. Would definitely come back. No question.

We live in Mexico, so when we go across and need to stay some place inexpensive then we come here, although the rooms are cleand and smell of lysol. The last room we were in had no TV, internet or telephone. I wanted to watch tv... then tried my tablet, then tried to call the lobby.. nothing worked. I was too tired to walk the length of the parking lot so we retired and went to bed. Maybe next time it will be better.

We need to cross the border early tomorrow, so starting here. Can't go in the lobby, just a window, need to pet a deposit for the remote control. I can only imagine what happens close to the border. The room is fine. Nothing fancy, but clean sheets and towels. You can hear the freeway, but overall it is not bad for the price.

Rooms are a good size. TV, microwave and refrigerator. There was a bad smell in the neighborhood, not from the hotel. House cleaning could be a little bit better. Found a couple of dead bugs. Check in was quick.

Had a week-long vacation in San Diego staying at a different hotel. After checking out we decided to extend our vacation and found the Valli Hi motel had rooms available at a really great rate so we decided to stay the night there and it made us disappointed we hadn't just stayed there all trip. This motel was amazing. Great location with plenty of dining options including a 24/7 McDonald's right next door. Convenient location right off the freeway and close to imperial beach. Mo was the manager on duty the day and night of our stay and he was fantastic. Very personable and was walking the premises and sanitizing all handles and railings. What other motel would a worker actually care enough to do this? The room was very spacious and nice. Huge tv with many premium channels. Bathroom was extremely clean and bed was very comfortable with fluffy pillows. We felt very safe as they have a nighttime security that walks the premises. It was very quiet too. I would recommend this place to anybody staying near San Diego/Chula Vista/Imperial Beach

We had a fantastic stay here. We stayed here for 3 days and we have nothing to complain about. We were very surprised with the room, looking from the outside it seems like a regular highway motel , seems actually old and a gross, but our room was great! It was very big, you could see it was remodeled and painted, there was a TV, microwave and mini fridge! The ac was great as well as the shower! They cleaned our room every day! You are not far from major attractions at all. You're probably 20 minutes away from downtown. Right across the highway there is a great outlet mall. Only 7 minutes away. McDonald's and food options are just one minutes walking form the motel. I definitely recommend and I would stay here again next time I come to San Diego for sure. The only thing they could change is the towels. They are old and rough. Other than that I would rate it a 7!
